Simulation of an Oscilloscope and Function Generator
| Description How it works |
This tool simulates a single chanel analog Oscilloscope connected to a function generator capable of producing 4 waveforms - sine, square, triangular and sawtooth. Download.xls file (66 KB) or .zip file (16 KB) How to useUse the various controls provided to generate different waveforms at different amplitudes and frequencies. The following controls are provided: Function Generator: Waveform - Choose between Sine, Square, Triangular and Saw Tooth waveforms Amplitude - Variable from 0.1 V to 5 V DC Offset - Variable from -5 V to +5 V Frequency - Variable from 1 Hz to 9 kHz Oscilloscope: Volts/Div - This changes the vertical scale; variable from 0.1 V/div to 1 V/div Time/Div - This changes the horizontal scale; variable from 1 ms to 9 s Remove DC - Checking this box removes DC or zero frequency component from the incoming signal The figure below shows a screenshot of a square wave being shown on the Oscilloscpe.
